Partner with Kho Kho Uganda

Help a young sport reach every district

Kho Kho needs a flat space, two poles and players who want to run. In under five years, volunteers, teachers and communities have taken it to 92 districts and cities, and Uganda's women came home from the first World Cup with bronze. With your help it goes further.

  • 92 districts and cities reached
  • 7 kinds of training and outreach
  • 6 groups of people trained
  • 5 months of club formation

Despite limited funds, transport and equipment, implementation continued through volunteerism, partnerships and community support.

What you get

Why partners choose Kho Kho Uganda

Each partnership is agreed with you. These are the benefits partners can expect.

A national footprint

Work with an association that has reached 92 districts and cities across all four regions, and can bring your message or programme to schools and communities nationwide.

Visible recognition

Partners are recognised at the courses, tournaments and publications they support, and on this website, in the way each partner prefers.

Proof of what your support did

We publish reports on what our programmes deliver, so you can show your board, staff or community the results.

A story to be proud of

Uganda's women won bronze at the first Kho Kho World Cup in January 2025, only a few years after the sport arrived in the country.

Real social impact

Kho Kho builds fitness, teamwork and leadership, gets young people into constructive activity, and welcomes girls and boys alike.

Good governance

Courses and clubs follow the National Sports Act, 2023 and international Kho Kho technical standards, so you partner with a sport that is built properly.

Hands-on involvement

Partners are welcome at courses, tournaments and certificate ceremonies to meet the teachers, coaches and players they support.

Where your support goes

The gaps that slow us down

Our own report names what holds the programme back. This is where partners make the biggest difference.

See the programme in detail
  • Transport for outreach teamsInstructors travel long distances between districts. Transport is one of the biggest limits on how fast we can grow.
  • Playing equipmentPoles, court marking and kit for schools and new clubs, where equipment shortages hold back training.
  • Playing facilitiesHelp clubs and schools find and prepare suitable playing space.
  • More trained coaches and refereesCourse costs for the next wave of teachers, community coaches and referees, so every district has its own technical people.
  • Awareness in new communitiesDemonstrations, school visits and festivals in places that have never seen the game.
  • Running costs and competitionsDistrict, regional and national championships, and the preparation of national teams.
